A new year just started, and as always is time of balances. It’s time to look behind and forward; a sight toward the past and another toward the future. Which sign would bear my personal balance in the master book of my life, last year? Negative, of course. A big minus sign written in red. If is true the proverb that says happiness does not last long, my life not only is a perfect example of this proverb, but can shed a light on a minimalistic version.

And concerning the future? The future is like this photo, unfocused, and painted in dark colours, and maybe this vision can disappear, the tunnel can always close on itself, allowing less and less light enter, until I will be in a complete pitch blackness.

Un nuovo anno è iniziato, e come sempre è tempo di bilanci. E’ tempo di guardarsi indietro e avanti. Uno occhio al passato e uno al futuro. E il mio personale bilancio che segno porta, sul libro mastro della mia vita? Negativo: un grande segno meno scritto in rosso. Se è vero il detto che dice che la felicità è di breve durata, la mia vita non solo è un esempio eccellente di questo detto, ma ne fa scoprire una versione minimalista.

E per ciò che riguarda il futuro? Il futuro è come questa foto, non chiaro, sfocato, e dipinto a tinte fosche e questa visione potrebbe anche sparire, il tunnel nero può sempre richiudersi, lasciando entrare sempre meno luce fino a lasciarmi completamente al buio.

Munich,  Three image of the underground station in Kolumbusplatz. I was hot by the clean lines and the essential geometries of the hallways, they seemed hallways of a big space station. I was lucky the station is not one of the busiest so I was able to take these photos without human interference.

The Obelisk at Karolinenplatz was built in 1833 by Leo von Klenze as memorial for 30.000 Bavarian soldiers who lost their life during the French invasion of Russia. The monument is 29 meters high and constructed out of bronze-plates over brick-stone. The metal was obtained from guns of the Turkish battle-ships sunk in the Battle of Navarino on October 20, 1827.”

L’Obelisco in Karolinenplatz si staglia contro un cielo ricco di minacciosi presagi di pioggia.

L’obelisco sulla Karolinenplatz fu costruito nel 1833 da Leo von Klenze come memoriale per i 30.000 soldati Bavaresi che perdettero la vita durante l’invasione francese della Russia. Il monumento è alto 29 metri e costituito da placche di bronzo su mattoni-pietra. Il metallo fu ottenuto dai cannoni delle navi Turche affondate durante la battaglia di Navarino, il 20 ottobre 1827.
